When we put them on our first podcast we saw something special in them. Seeing them at a tiny gig later affirmed our love - and we watched eagerly as one of our favourite bands rose the ranks.

Some time later and they've got their debut UK tour in the bag and are working with one of the stalwarts of Brit Pop - Bernard Butler.

Cajun Dance Party are the current buzzword about town - NME darlings, loved by Radio 1 DJ's like Annie Mac, Zane Lowe and Steve Lamacq - you can be sure they're not going to go away.

Signed to XL recordings alongside the likes of White Stripes, Basement Jaxx and Jack Penate - rumour has it Radiohead's Thom Yorke urged the label to sign them.

We caught up with them at the finale of their first UK tour - outside the Luminaire in London surrounded by Bernard Butler, assorted fans and Icelandic band Jakobinarina.
